'Aurora Borealis' continues the journey begun in 'Tales from the Dead Sea'. There is more to get your teeth into here - the music is subtler, more complex, and more rewarding. I sometimes think of my first album as a story - an exciting one which gathers everyone together in the same place. 'Aurora Borealis' however, is more like a painting. If a thousand people look at it there will be a thousand different interpretations. I hope you enjoy finding out what yours will be.

Ken Herrera grew up in Tasmania, where he majored in piano at the Conservatorium of Music. Following a shift to composition in 2007, he has performed his own work in concerts around Australia and France. His music has been broadcast on ABC Classic FM, and he released his first disc 'Tales from the Dead Sea' in 2012, with 'Aurora Borealis' following in 2015. Ken lives and works in Melbourne. ... more
